I want that DVD -- that is so cool! I'm starting a band and naming it 'Bomarc-Sage' in reference to the cold war bomarc ABM/SAM and the sage command centers -- I have a SAGE command center less than 20 minutes from where I live and 4 nike bases around my area. Bomarcs and the nukes on top are so wicked -- they may have saved all our lives -- no joke. Russia (or whatever they call them) still has SAM/ABM missile around moscow with big NUKES on top -- an updated bomarc could of stopped 9-11!!!

You just saw the predessesor of the F-18 at 50 seconds. It is the X-10, a pilotless drone.

At least they got some senses back and start an F-X program.

It also killed the XF-103 and XF-108 projects. There was a misguided belief in the late 1950's that missile technology would mean the end of manned fighters. There was also a partially correct belief that the interceptor's days were over.

yea, some great missile it was. it replaced the chance of Canada using CF-105 Arrows, because of the 'missile age'. Needless to say, its best performance is where it is today....on pedestals and in museums.

This is a very good video and to understand Bomarc when the
history is so lacking I recommend you buy this one of a kind
DVD. You won't be disappointed...........
