i don't get how people say this movie sucked compared to the old one.

although rob zombie's version was not bad in a sense, it completely destroyed the whole meaning of the original Halloween. Myers was suppose to be pure evil for no reason not b/c his mom was a slut, his step dad was abusive and he got picked on at school(that makes it even lamer), he was suppose to be an evil child/bad seed not a pissed off dork from a broken home... b/c that gives him a reason to kill the whole point was that there was NO REASON just pure unadulterated EVIL!!!

I actually prefer this version to the old one. Not that the old one was bad, but this one gives us Michael's back story and gives him a real reason to go around killing everyone. Makes it easier to relate to him, you know? I also think the characters, especially Michael, are more 3-dimensional in the 2007 version. IMO.

This movie should have never been remade. Period! Thanks Rob for FUCKING it up..!

Well there are a lot of people out there who don't believe in the whole concept of pure evil. In real life, usually people who kill people are set off by a whole bunch of things, they don't do it simply because they are evil. I am glad Rob chose not to insult our intelligence that way. Especially because since it came out that Lori was Micheal's sister in the sequel, that established a reason why he was going after her.

Way back in the day they used to use that song to advertise whenever Halloween would come on TV (pre cable). Michael should never be the hero of anything. No one should identify with him. He's a psychopath with no rhyme or reason why he does things. Rob (to a degree) made it his own but in the process removed the fear. He should have done the TCM remake not Halloween.

It would be cool if you could make a Halloween movie where Michael actually becomes the hero inadvertently maybe
up against something or someone even
more evil

It's funny you kind of wing for Michael in a way He's a cool villain
Alright good video but I have some ?'s about the movie I didn't see it. Michael myers Dies? What is michael doing at 1:44 why is he showing her that picture or whatever it was?I have to agree with u guys the blood doesn't really go with Halloween.

in the theater version, Michal does not die. In the work print(the only downloadable one on the 'net) he does die, since it was an early version with an alternate ending. As for the picture, it is a picture of Michal and Laurie as children, since they are sister and brother. Michal was trying to show to her that he was her brother with that picture, she ends up stabbing him in the neck.

I really liked this movie, but it had it's bad sides. Most of all I hated the blood. Even though I love gore-movies blood still doesn't fit Halloween. I didn't like the ending either. Michael should have stabbed the fuck out of Laurie and not freakin' hesitate.

yeah i have to agree, the gore doesn't fit as well with Halloween. (if you notice, i didn't have much in this video due to that). The original is so much better, Rob Zombie tried hard to incorporate all this gore and blood, when he should have focused more on good-old suspense.

For example the part where he kills the guy in the toilet. The whole room was FLOATING with blood. Same as the baseball bat kill.

yes, it was unnecessary and just doesn't have that Halloween feel, it felt more like Rob Zombie was making a sequel to Devils Rejects with Michal Myers as the main character.
