The Deck Cadet act as an officer of the watch 1200H to 1600H duty, keeping a good look out while following the charted course at navigation speed of 15 knots. Traffic in the visinity is ample including fishing boats are well detected by RADAR but of course not taking for granted the risk of collison.. Thanks to Capt. Peter Pratley and 2nd Officer Cayetano Bondoc for giving me the chance to handle the bridge in short moment as part of my training as Deck Cadet onboard the 30,000 gross tonnage vessel MV Saga Journey.
