Anthem of the Sámi People on ocarina

In honour of the Sámi peoples day (february 6th) I've made a short animation by request of the Sámi school in Oslo, that visually shows the meaning behind the first verse of the Anthem of the Sámi People. It is performed by me on my favourite ocarina - the STL Enigma. The anthem was written as a poem in 1906 by Isak Saba and was adopted as the Sámi's common national anthem in 1986. Arne Sørlie composed the melody and it was adopted as the official national anthem at the Sámi Conference in 1992. In north-sámi the first verse goes like this:

Guhkkin davvin Dávggáid vuolde
sabmá suolggai Sámieanan.
Duottar leabbá duoddar duohkin,
jávri seabbá jávrri lahka.
Čohkat čilggin, čorut čearuin
allanaddet almmi vuostái.
Šávvet jogat, šuvvet vuovddit,
cáhket ceakko stállenjárggat
máraideaddji mearaide.


In english:

North under the Great Bear
Sápmi shines,
Ridge upon ridge,
lake stretching into lake.
Rocky cliffs, craggy peaks
point to the sky.
Streams laugh, woods whisper
precipice drops steely point
descends to stormy sea.

It isn't the most fancy animation you'll find out there, but I'm still learning :) And I only had a little over a week to finish it. Hope you'll like it :)
