pile up in front of my house. ice came right up to my neighbors and stopped but no damage.

I was wondering if you know what caused the ice to be moving so fast. Are the currents along Kotzebue normally that strong? Was it the outgoing tide? It just amazes me how fast the ice was pushed up onshore, almost like a tsunami.

no the last time this happen was in 2002 and the ice actually went into a house and ruined their car and snowmachine. So yeah it gets pretty dangerous on front street. well i hope you all like my video.
