You know if i will need an update for the upcoming Star Wars Blurays?

@DussoJanladde thank for this video. it really helped me rule out problems and "sound" blu ray educated when i called samsung.

@DussoJanladde its connected by an HDMI, with just the tv speakers. the disk is brand new. I called samsung and they said they need to update their codes and send out updates to all the players. black swan is on their list of movies that will not work. i guess the blu-ray disk manuf changed a code to protect against piracy. I think its really annoying I have to wait to watch a movie, that I legally purchased, thats been released for almost two weeks for them to update their players.

@ckdafinest Blu-ray is an evolving format. When new features are added to newly released Blu-rays, those features must also be added to Blu-ray players, including those already sold. This is done with firmware updates, and it's not a bad thing at all. This was the ONLY time I was completely unable to play a disc without updating, and the noise only happened with this disc and stopped after the next update.
dude clean your fucking disc thats the reader seeking because your disk is dirty

@duff0427 What exactly happens when you try to play Black Swan? How is the player connected to the TV? HDMI? Are you using the TV speakers or a receiver? Is the disc in good shape? You could try setting the BD-Live internet connection to Prohibit, I find it more of an annoyance than a benefit.

My brother just got a BD-C5600 system. We are trying to setup the network connection. the manual call for pressing the PVC button on the Router. There is no PVC button on the Router. We have the D-Link new router but no button. What are the steps you use to setup the network connection parameters? Your help is greatly appreciated

@itsmonti1 First, are you sure that's the right model number? It comes up as not found on Samsung's site. Second, are you setting up a wired or wireless connection? Mine uses a wired connection, I have an ethernet cable connecting the player to a network switch, which is in turn connected to the router. PBC (not PVC) is something that wireless routers may have, but is not a concern with a wired connection.
