jigour.net -- Read "The Sufficiency of Faith"
Some in the "Church of Christ" believe they are the only Christians. As one who was previously trained to preach for the Church of Christ, I think that this teaching is harmful. My aim in this video and in my paper is to help members of the Church of Christ and others understand better how we can deal with differences and cultivate a more genuine walk with God. Please visit my website at www.geocities.com/thesufficiencyoffaith (or jigour.net) to download my paper in which I thoroughly discuss these issues. My paper attempts to examine the root of the issue, and in doing so it also addresses many other questions, such as how God deals with people who we might think have not been able to hear the gospel and the relationship between faith and works. Although it was written primarily with the Church of Christ doctrines in mind, the principles God showed me involve questions that have been asked by people all over the world for ages. Please contact me at thesufficiencyoffaith@yahoo.com.

I really appreciate your video. It's too bad that in churches actual thought and discussion are so often discouraged. Over 50 years ago my late mother finally left the C of C exactly because of the rigid dogmatic attitudes towards those with just such questions as you raise!

Oh, c'mon you make us sound so bad. Exactly, this video is aimed at the church to make us look bad. We aren't some suicide cult like he makes us out to be. The bible says WHOEVER believes shall not perish but have everlasting life. If someone practices the scriptures and is obedient, will go to heaven. That means if someone is faithful, but doesn't attend a church marked "church of christ", that person will have eternal life.

@uwique
You believe that the Church of Christ isnt the One Body, the One Kingdom, the One House of the Lord, really? Have you not read the prophesy?
"He shall build an house for my name, and I will stablish the throne of his kingdom for ever."[2Samuel7;13]

@uwique well you news isn't anything but opinion.
proper teaching produces proper learning
you believe baptism isnt essential , this is what Peter said
"in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water. The like figure whereunto [even] baptism doth also now save us"[1Peter3:20-21]

@uwique Here's your position. A believer who needs to repent, confess Christ, pray, etc WILL live long enough to do so? Why? Because you say he has to - God will miraculously "preserve" him. But this same fella might kick the bucket before baptism? Why? Because you decided he didn't really have to be baptized; thus, God can DROP THE BALL before baptism, and it won't matter. LOL That's an absurd position, and you know it.

@uwique "if a person dies unbaptised,where does he go?" An accountable person who refuses to be baptized is lost. I'm assuming that anyone who believes and repents WILL BE SUSTAINED long enough to be baptized - and sustained miraculously, too - because you said he would.

@uwique "repentance=deep sorrow, compunction, or contrition for a past sin" LOL "Godly sorrow worketh repentance." Repentance is BROUGHT ABOUT by sorrow, but sorrow is not repentance. I gave you the definition from Thayer's, Arndt, and Liddell. Three sources: the most standard Greek lexicons, and I'll accept that definition.
