"The Human Experience In 4 States As Perceived By Louis Sullivan, Frank Lloyd Wright and Le Corbusier" by Matthew Woolfrey:

In the early Fall of 2006, I was commissioned to do a painting for Array Healthcare Facility Solutions' recent office expansion. Completed in March of 2007, here are some highlights from the first unveiling / reception. Received well, I'm humbled that the work was upgraded from the expansion to the main hallway in the office.

  • There will always be critics so Don't let anything anyone says discourage you. Always keep an open mind and continue to grow. Your very talented and will do well.

  • I love it where can I go and see it :( I'm in Lexington ave lol

  • Just found this today, very nice...Intense and detailed...wish I was there to experience it first hand

  • holy sh....t! Really unique.

  • "The artist isn't supposed to explain his work"... says who? You? And just what makes YOU the authority over all artists in the world? Give me a break... stop trying to be/feel superior... you aren't.

  • Thank you, Tom. That was...very gallant of you! I never even saw this guy's comment, I wrote him a wonderful message and appropriately blocked him thereafter. If he were to look at the title of the piece, he'd see he's completely missed the message. It is, as you said, my expression. It is not an illustration of the architects, not a narrative piece, I thought any idiot could comprehend that much. Besides, I looked on his profile and he's a failed architect working as a make-up artist. Hmmm...

  • ok i was a minor in humanities and art/architecture was part of this......this is matt's vision, his work, his expression,,,we can't fault him for feeling a certain way so then why fault him for expressing his feelings as such.....thank you :)

  • Oh wow Matt that was so incredibly clever and thought provoking, so cool.

    5*

  • This is a great video and so interesting....

  • I don't understand this meeting... Matthew, the artist isn't supposed to explain his work.

You are well spoken, but at the same time, you didn't seem like you were confident in your work.
