I cant think of a sport where you can train for 10 hours a day, its not possible unless your playing chess... course you wouldnt know that not being an athlete
im a racer too and the one big challenge is not over-training in this sport. Most people watching this will know that ski racing is very short 1-2 min efforts its not like for example cycling where you CAN train on average 6 hours a day. You have to be careful with workload to maintain a summer fitness programme without getting totally burnt out and spending a week solid in bed!
whoever talks about skiing not being tough or w/e, i have only this to say: I have been skiing since i was 7 and am now 19 in my country i am considered a talented athlete and i spend many hours a day in the gyms and whatnot and i have only 70 points, these guys what they do to become no.1, it's unlike ANY other sport.
I'm not the athlete, I am trying to explain to you that they only train 4-6 hours a day, as opposed to 10 that some of these other athletes do. You will see, Canada will fail in the olympics.
I love this. I really wish someone would post the entire video uncut. The episode that was shown on TV was great, but I would love to see what else goes on in the day of an alpine ski racer. Also I love and I do mean love Ted Ligety!!!!
is this actually on the movie? i downloaded it from itunes and it didn't have it.
