Happened upon this lovely video on a Stan Rogers search, so I didn't know Mr. Cranfill, but this is a very inspiring video and I thought I'd let you know it filled the heart of a stranger.

I don't know how to thank you for this. I am Terry's sister, Mandie. His birthday is on Wednesday. It's been hard. Our Dad died this past December. He would have loved to see this. I obviously cried fifty million times watching this but it was wonderful. Thank you again and thank you for being his friend.

It was my pleasure, a literal labor of love. We'd just gotten caught up with life that day, and I was broken up, and had to do something on 1 March to remember him by, so I searched through all my discs until I found the pictures. I'm glad they found their way home. I'm sorry to hear about Terry's father, I know there were problems, and a real reconciliation.
I'm glad the video could help in some small way.

I know it's a tribute. I know there's considerable passion for the subject of the tribute. But I don't understand the nature of the tribute. Who is Terry Levon Cranfill and why the tribute?

Terry had a very bad condition, icthyosis, and lived his life with it not in self-pity or as a recluse, but with so much passion, humor, and courage that it could not help but change the life of people around him. A powerful personality and a powerful life.
And he was my friend.

Thank you. Stan's song fitted his life so well. A man of better humor or generosity I do not expect to find in this life.
