Ernie, Thank you for your thoughts. I appreciate your intimation that you are not happy with the war. I don't think that anyone is happy with any war, but I believe that it was necessary to protect America's vital interest, an oil supply, from a tyrannical dictator. I think that the guy who was most surprised at Iraq's lack of WMD's was Saddam Hussein.

You're correct, of course: Gore did win the popular vote. My only point is that LOTS of people voted for Bush. And that's what worries me.

Well the idea that we should all agree would make talk shows useless! So there are no rules to say that we must agree. And I value your thoughts. Well it is my belief that Bush had been told that they didn't have any weapons of mass destruction. Think that is known today. Things get confusing since Bush fires anyone that doesn't agree with his thoughts.

First of all, I respect your ability to disagree with me politely. You are a true gentleman.
I am of the opinion that President Bush did not lie. He spoke based upon the information that he had. Hussein had tried to assasinate a retired US president. He thwarted our attempts to verify his destruction of WMD at every turn.
The Iraqi's are better off now than they were. They appreciate our presence.
Just saying Pres. Bush committed crimes is not enough, what statutes did he violate?
