An FDA news story about MRI contrast agents using gadolinium dyes. The FDA last year added new labels to the drug regarding the risk of Nephrogenic Systemic Fibrosis (NSF). For more information see: http://www.usrecallnews.com/2007/04/gadolinium-dyes-and-nephrogenic-systemic-...
Gadolinum is the agent needed to provide the contrast for the image, the molecule is called G-DTPA and the DTPA part cages tge Gadolinum so it is used only for the conrast, the KIDNEY helps excerete this toxic thing out immediatly after it is used for the conrtast enhanced MRI scan. if you have any sort of Kidney problems you are at risk of this stuff staying in your body and causing NSF.

My father died from this. We now have a lawsuit against GE Medical. It's been on going for three years now. Hopefully I'll see something this year.
