@warriorsrock2006 according to Steve Thomas, our Director of Vineyard Ops, we look at the cane length and thickness initially. Our regular pruning for the old Zin is 2 bud spurs,but if the lower cane is skimnyer than a pencil ergo with 1 bud spurs. This will even out the growth during the next vintage.
