this video shows the PC Engine Duo-R, PC Shuttle, PCFX, Panasonic 3Do FZ-10, and the Turbo Duo. Turbografix NEC electronics. Just note: After 7 minutes 30 seconds, the video gets boring, because I'm looking at the labels and other technical stuff. Plus, I'm trying to film these units for as long as possible. Mainly for Archival reasons. this is video s 0031 Finally, I made an error. The famicom units are NOT the Sharp MX. But instead, they are the Twin Famicom units. both red and black. The twin famicom plays disks as well as cartridges. (to the best of my knowledge).

  • You've got some info wrong. The original PC Engine Duo had the exact same design as the American Turbo Duo. The PC Engine Duo-R was a redesigned cost-cutting model that eliminated the headphone jack.

  • @ArmaliteFan yes, you're probably correct. There are other gamers with more knowledge than me. I do my very best to give whatever info I can. In any case, i'm VERY happy that NEC released the Duo-R. It was a really cool design. Different than the Turbo Duo. (I still prefer the Turbo Duo but I love both just as they are).

  • PC-FX was the second successor to the PC-Engine in Japan (first being the super grafx). It tried to go against the 3DO, but it underestimated the 3DO, after that the PC-FX library became saturated with hentai games .

  • @thatguyontheright1 yea, but I won't be able to list all the NEC systems together until I do a Photographic review. I found it literally impossible to gather all systems for a Video shoot. But, the photographs can always be organized later. So, eventually, I will begin releasing photographic videos.

  • Unless I am mistaken, the Duo-R needed to be continuously powered to keep the save files, whereas the standard Turbo Duo could be unplugged and keep the files for some time (about two or three months without power).

  • @GamingZoneX: Actually the Duo-R was designed with higher quality parts than the ordinary Duo. The head phone jack was left off because it was stupid, not really to save money.
