  • i dont understand why its called "Inverted Doubles"? is it not like normal doubles? explain please

  • Right Left Left Right...

  • Eliminator :man you are so so so good!!! i'm from mexico and my favorite drummer is thomas lang but you have a technique almost like his,

could you explain in a video how set up and adjust a double pedal? please

  • Thanks, but I'm nowhere near to Thomas :) About my double pedal setting: I realy didn't make any radical changes, I keep my springs pretty loose, the Powershifter is set up in the middle position. Take care!

  • very nice, sounded triggerless to!

  • Thanks, I didn't use triggers in any of my videos (at least so far :) ).

  • Do you use Heel-toe or some other technique or just plain Heel up?

  • You lost a little bip velcity at the 16 second,

    but was good,

    keep on working

  • so basicly it just makes a difference to the drummer himself... or if the kit isnt miced (which is seldom the case) and other drummers are present....

  • many of the great extreme metal drummers imply quarter note so greatly within double bass work (32nd notes especially) that you get used to listening for tiny details within rolling double bass patterns.

the fact that literally all i do online anymore is watch drummers on youtube helps i guess... since its gotten me really used to listening to acoustic drumming on camera mics n shit.

  • well as far as obvious accenting, i cant say that i know of any modern records or recording situations that it has greatly affected, although i assume you could hear it on virgil's music with his band, but i have never listened to any.

with mics you usually either adjust the levels to be exactly the same sound and the slight difference is made null & void either way, so the pitch difference doesnt matter much unless your right up on the drumset... and if youre a drummer you hear every nuance.

  • Interesting !I think i have a pretty trained ear regarding drums... but ive never heard any difference ! Can you name any record i can listen to where this different accent is actually hearable ?

  • No. The accent is different.

This is an advanced technique... thus its hard and the end result is sounding cool to the trained ear. If you arent a) a drummer b) used to listening to an infathomable number of drum recordings for little details like this one within the patterns.... this will sound exactly the same to you. On a double pedal the left and right bass stroke do have a slight difference in tone, and the same is usually true of many double bass drum setups.

  • Hey FGTs,

    Learn to spell Rhythm!

  • i couldnt tell you, ive never seen anyone use it, like i said im not a drummer im a rythem guitarest, i can just tell you by the way its counted that it can fit in alot of patterns

  • its funny how you avoid to answere an simple question hahaha. whats the musical reason of doing this ?
