Expansion of Konin Coal Mine, Poland has been suspended due to protests!
This video gives a voice to local residents.
A powerful insight of the reality of living with a Coal mine at your doorstep.
Filmed in November 2008

*Update: Since the posting of this video the suspension won by Greenpeace activists and the local community has ended tragically with the government's decision to go ahead with the coal mine.

  • lets go nucelear like the rest of the world. china building 20 new plants for 2010

  • sposób. If you can't write "ó" then exchange it with "o", so it would be "sposob". "u" and "ó" have exactly same reading, but it's an orthographic mistake if you will write it wrong.

  • Wind power is very expensive, the government has to support it (you pay TAX fot the green energy).

Solar energy is a good solution only for the countries in the mediterraneum or noth africa..

Water/geothermal plats is the best way but the sources are limited.

    coal is the cheapest one..

  • JEDNA PLANETA, JEDEN SPOSUB, GO GREEN

  • Homeless man makes lamp that makes itz own power, great for third world countries, power outages, children gifts, mothers day

  • Got one???

The World demands a lot of steel, and that requires a lot of heat.

  • Yeah and it's had its day in many respects so we should move on to other sources of energy.
