Space science research institutions have traditionally been populated by a strong male workforce, but this structure is rapidly changing. Todays workforce is much more diverse with individuals from various cultures and backgrounds, a higher percentage of women, and in many cases, up to six generations in the same workplace.

I would imagine that women would have more of an advantage in theoretical stuff, but then that would be counter to what they are trying to accomplish here by proving that they are equals.
