This year marked some big red carpet trends for the ladies at the Golden Globes. We're talking lots of purple, some serious ruffles and a whole lot more. I'm Joslyn Davis and that's all up next.

Hey guys-thanks for watching ClevverTV. This is our official red carpet re-run for the ladies. So let's kick things off with one of the first looks we saw.

Glee's very own reigning princess, Lea Michelle's dress screamed drama drama drama! And of course we mean that as a total compliment. The Oscar De La Renta down was black, but it was definitely NOT boring. The layered black skirt added an amazing edge to the dress. And we think ti's a great choice for the actress's first Golden Globe's appearance.

Also wearing black was Spanish beauty Penelope Cruz, who was nominated for her role in Nine. Now, even though she didn't take home a trophy, she deserves one for her red carpet look. Her Versace gown was reminiscent of almost a Sophia Loren-type look. And again we saw some great layering of ruffled fabrics. Some might argue that this look was a little blah for the actresses, but we like the simplicity of it's overall feel. And the cascading wavvy hair style finished things off perfectly.

Another trend we saw a lot of was the deep redish/purple hue as far as dress colors. Avatar star Zoe Saldana was a far cry from the blue character she played in the film she came out to support. Her Louis Vuitton gown was a deep red color and like all of the dresses we've chatted about so far, it also boasted lots and lots of layers of fabric, which she can totally rock because of her small frame.

But our pick for top dress of the night goes to one of the big winners. The always gorgeous and hilarious Sandra Bullock. Wow is really all you can say about her look on the carpet. She completely stole the show with the purple dress. The color and fabric choice made the red carpet sparkle.

So those were our top picks, of course there are so many more that we're loving. But we've gotta admit that we weren't so sure about the hooded dress that Lindsay Lohan wore to the Globes after party. We also want your opinion on the risky look that Tina Fey wore. Really though, this funny lady can do no wrong.

Make sure to weigh in on all things fashion below in the comments section. I'm Joslyn Davis reminding you to subscribe to all of our channels and if you really want the scoop, follow us on Twitter-that's @ClevverTV. Thanks for watching! See you later.
