Actually, it IS omnindirectional. Notice that when he walks, he always stays in the middle of the moving floor. If it was only bidirectional, he wouldn't be able to do this.
Try paying attention to the colors on the floor when he is moving paralell with the lines. You will see that only the lines he are walking on are moving. :-)
