Hola hermano tatojunco en eso de hacer mucho escandalo en las peleas tiene mucha razon creo qe entre mas hablen los boxeadores mas emocionante se hace la pelea chavez y ramirez entrenaban juntos y se conocian muy bien de echo eran compadres y desafortunadamente les toco pelear y la controversia nunca se va a terminar... pero como lo dije antes y lo vuelvo a repetir para buenas peleas apenas mexico v/s puerto rico sin importar quien gane espectaculo garantizado... que la siga pasando bien

que pelea tan memorable. Gomez era un gran boxeador y solo matandolo lo hiban a bajar del ring. En ese dia Sanchez lo castigo hasta el cansancio por lo que Gomez habia hecho con Zarate de pegarle ya caido.

@rolo12393 Es obvio que la unica pelea de Gomez que haz visto es esta,lastima porque Gomez era un peleador de muy buena tecnica y movimientos,y para darte un ejemplo puedes ver entre muchas otras su pelea con Pintor que casualmente fue despues de haber perdido con Sanchez y observa la clinica que le estaba dando a Pintor en esos primeros asaltos,hasta que despues saco la bravura que siempre lo caracterizo y se fue a cambiar metralla,educate antes de comentar.

Ademas se puede ver claramente que Gomez no utilizo ninguna de sus destrezas boxisticas sino que salio a hacerle frente a Sanchez con la unica intencion de noquearlo lo mas pronto posible,error tactico que tambien le costo en esta pelea,lo cual beneficiaba a Sanchez que era un peleador que lucia mejor cuando sus rivales eran agresivos.

Gomez realmente nunca se repuso de ese primer asalto,y mucho menos con el pomulo fracturado,solo su valentia lo mantuvo peleando hasta que el arbitro tuvo que protegerlo de el mismo.

@6400az Early in his career Gomez was very, very quick. Watch his knockout of Zarate--that's his signature win and the one that vaulted him into P4P status. Sanchez exposed his vulnerabilities though and demonstrated his total superiority. And you're right about Duran, he was an all-around fantastic fighter. A perfect fighting machine. Ring Mag rated him No. 5 all time P4P.

P.S. LOL re: "what's my name..." Yep, Sal tormented Gomez in this fight.

Agree totally, I too wanted Pintor to win REAL bad. Gomez seemd to be totally outclassed and resorted to dirty tactics.

I just never really saw anything in him that stood out.Take Duran for example, if you look past his punch ( at lightweight) he also had a great defense, avoided punches, cat quick and mean as hell. Gomez,had a bit of Vito Antuofermo in him. Equaly courageous, but somewhat of a plodder.

The beating he took here reminds me of Ali vs Ernie Terrel..." whats my name"

@6400az The Gomez vs. Pintor fight is one of the most bitter fight results I can remember. I wanted Pintor to win that fight so badly, ESPECIALLY after getting tagged with those elbows. I really thought Gomez was a terribly dirty fighter and a lousy sportsman. I enjoy watching this fight (Sanchez) and his other brutal losses against Nelson and Layne just to see him get his ass kicked. But you're right, he was very brave. And highly skilled too.
