btw just noticed the change in lighting between the two cuts. I don't know it that was on purpose or not. But it looks like it's darker when it switches to the leather and whips(?).
And looking at the above sentence I don't want to know where those came from.

Yeah, I purposely made the bits with the leather and whips darker than the other scenes. Just to set the "good" Mary apart from the "bad" Mary. :)
