The Jack Benny Program - Jack Gets Robbed (3/3)

This is one of the funniest Jack Benny programs I have ever seen. In this episode, Jack allows a little girl to come up from the audience to get his autograph. As Jack asks the girl a few questions, her answers lead Jack to believe that she is the daughter of someone very important.

Between the little girl's answers and Jack's hilarious reactions, the enormous talent of Jack Benny emerges. What a master of timing and facial expressions he was.

The skit which follows is a hilarious exchange between Jack and Rochester, and Jack's various security devices to help prevent robbery.

Jack's radio and TV programs, due to Mel Blanc being a recurring cast-member, heavily influenced a lot of gag's that would appear on the Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies cartoons and vice versa...the writers of the cartoons often slipped in references to the radio shows Mel Blanc was associated with.

I've noticed that the cartoonists of those days also managed to slip in political commentary. Much different from today.
