Nieprawda. W tym czasie istniała Sicz Poleska UPA Tarasa-Bulby Borowca. Organizacja wroga Polsce, ale normalna - tzn Borowec walczył przeciwko Polakom i w tym sensie był naszym wrogiem, ale był wrogiem takim, którego można szanować, ponieważ posługiwał się metodami "normalnymi". Z uwagi na popularność UPA, nazwę ukradli mu potem banderowcy.

Since 1654, Ukrainians had lived in two distinct worlds: one ruled by imperialistic Russians and the other imperialistic Poles or Austrians.

As a result of 1939 "liberation", the East/West Ukrainian dichotomy finally ceased to exist, at least on some political levels. Unification of two long-separated branches of the Ukrainian people—was an event of epochal significance in the history of Ukraine. This was the silver lining to an otherwise dark cloud over Ukraine in 1939.

@Marbolski Should I remind that there was no good side in this war at all? USA was an openly racist country, USSR was nothing but a slaughter house etc. As for Ukrainians, they have no chance to win, nor even to survive, so they just wanted to die fighting. Doing evil things, or doing holy things, however fighting against everybody, despite any odds.

@laconically I agree with you, but it doesn't change the fact that they collaborate with Fascists. In fact Poles was faithing with Napoleon against Russians for the same reasons, to fight for freedom of our country.

But, as we earlier agree on that subject, there is no need to blame or exterminate Polish nation for few Poles in Fascists Police.

Anyway, as I wrote you before. That is in the history now. We can just learn about it or dispute, but there is no sense to argue.

@Marbolski Don't play fool, nobody from 14th Division has been proven guilty in war crimes or any crime against humanity, they are clear, every single one. Over 80 000 volunteered, 13 000 were recruited, so they were exceptionally motivated. They wanted to fight against USSR, for Ukraine. They were soldiers, killing enemy soldiers, a lot of them.

Now regarding SS Halychyna. If somebody kill the other person, but can't be proven guilty, it doesn't mean he didn't kill. Dead body is still there.

I don't know what would you suggest that SS Halychyna was formed for? To entertain Russians or what?

This formation was formed in cooperation with Fascists. I'm not here to judge anybody, they have been told they fight for freedom of Ukraine.
