Geoff Edwards' 13-week network TV debut, from 1973. Oddly enough, the show that replaced it also opened with an orange, celebrity-filled chroma-keyed square..."Match Game '73."

  • Match Game Pre Empted this Game Show!

  • @Jiltedin2007 No, no, it replaced this game show.

  • The 3 things I always remembered about this show was the theme music, the set, and Geoff Edwards, whom I hope is still alive. Always one of my faves.

  • Geoff is very much alive. Google "Geoff Edwards on Cruising" and the first result will be his blog.

  • @AdamNedeff You're right. Unless you want to believe in "permanent preemptions," lol. ;-)

  • I take it that the last show doesn't exist. Would anyone by any chance remember what happened on that one?

  • Now I am not a fan of straddling game shows (though there are many exceptions including the ones previously mentioned), so here's what I would've done: Have a point system like Everybody's talking, six people (stars & civilians) talking about a subject with points taken off after each person video was shown, play two rounds with the highest scoring player winning the game.

  • The goal of $200 doesn't really seem fair. I expected games to end so quickly on shows like The Joker's Wild, Tic Tac Dough, Bullseye, among others.

  • I guess the moral of the story is, always listen to Geoff Edwards.

  • I think he did work for Goodson at one point, though, albeit on a local level, California's Big Spin.

  • I loved this Game Show when I was a Little Boy watching it.

Thank you very much for posting this.

  • Geoff knows a good game show when he sees it - he even told Bob Stewart when Jackpot was retooled that the new general knowledge format wouldn't work - he was right again.
