I remember these old Electricity adverts when i was a kid and they used to freak me out loads but they were classic cult adverts.

I think they were "advertising" electricity because the Electricity Boards were going to be privatised, so as to encourage people to buy shares in them.

A rather menacing voice-over! I remember these ads - I was 6 years old and couldn't figure out why they were advertising electricity on TV - how else were TVs powered in the 1980s? Gas?!?!
