CTS-V actually ran low 12's later in the day. It just goes to show you how difficult of a track this really is.

  • Watch the video I posted of the funny car running high 6's. Watch how much it bounces down the track. That'll give you a general idea of how bad this track is.

  • Ha, you're funny. All quarter mile tracks are NOT the same. Sure, it's a straight line. But when you're trying to launch on an unprepped track that's bumpier than the surface of the moon, it tends to make a difference...

  • The V lost its back end completely had to let off and start again. Watch closely.

  • @TRWeiss1 I agree. Track prep plays a big role. If they don't clear oil from other cars that grenade on the track correctly, if the track surface is fubar'd up... you WILL have a hard time launching and gripping.

  • Yeah not a good launch for the V. I was driving the civic and i know that the V's fastest time that day was actually a 12 flat.

  • How has he not figured out the track? Its a straight line...
