  • 20 amp should do it fine.

  • I loved the radio when it worked. It had to go in for warrenty work 3 times. The Powerband RFX75 RF Driver keep going out. The new final sucks, it gets hot fast you have to keep a fan on it. Don't go over a 5 watt dead key, more like keep it at 2 or 4 watts and let it swing from there. Don't be long winded you will blow the finals even with the fan. Bottom line the radio is great the Powerband RFX75 RF Driver sucks.

  • @FatArnisGuy I got the radio a week ago, mounted it inside my Jeep, using a Wilson 2000 Trucker antenna, connected my power meter, keyed up and nothing. Turned the power output up, nothing. I got the radio, did the frequency conversion, Con3, pressed the button for 10 seconds, put it back together and it is not transmitting, that I can see through the signal/power meter and my swr/power meter. Is there anything else that I was supposed to do? Please help, I spent a pretty penny for this radio!

  • How many amps do you think it would to be able to run this radio properly?
