  • be ok ..if them r1 riders ..did,nt think its a race track

  • the new surface is friggin awesome

  • I see they have changed the limit now down to 60ks

  • Good thing they resurfaced it - the surface there is soooo nice. I love doing quick loops from Pie in the Sky down to the bridge then turning back around.

  • i wrote my zx10 off on that corner!

when i was waiting for the tow truck to come i looked around at the side of the road and couldn't believe the amount of mirrors and bike parts lying around from previous stacks. its a very dangerous corner if your travelling north!

  • ha this is interesting. came off a few weeks ago suspisciously close to some of those strips, im just surprised they bothered to put a story on about it. its s l o w l y getting better but it can still be quite dangerous at times up there

  • yeh, dont corner on those buggers on a hot day! they turn to bubblegum, FARRRRKIN PISSPOOR, FIX IT YAKARNS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Went for a ride up there today and good news is road works are underway with a fair bit of re-surfacing already complete.

  • Its about time!

I ride on the Old Pacific Hwy often and those "tar snakes" are simply dangerous.

They ride proud of the road surface giving an un-even surface for all vehicles, and when hot, get sticky and flow like hot tar giving that "riding on hot chewing gum" effect ..

Down right dangerous, and should be bloody well illegal.

Quite frankly, the cracks were more safe before they were fixed!

  • Thanks for posting this... :)

There is a road near where I live that has close to the same amount of tar snake... :)
