I have only recently come across this story (which prooves just how pointless their protest was), and the attitudes of these kids have pretty much made me understand what people mean when they talk about "white privlege".

dude, don't hate the student resisters, your a brother/sister in the struggle - we are not eachother's enemy - we have a common enemy. these resistances are important to topple existing oppressive structures - civil rights was not one with throwing your hands in the air - people were hosed down, sit in's were conducted - such is the progress of the people - agitation is crucial

Yeah dude, they want to get a war criminal out of their school so they occupied it. I was there in solidarity from The City College in Harlem. by they way, the students won (4 am this morning).

The war criminal Bob Kerrey needs to go. Look at this police-state treatment of students. On the other hand, I was a grad student at the New School when the equally pathetic Jonathan Fanton was holding forth.
