Magic The Gathering (Duels of the Planeswalkers)

I found this Magic the Gathering Duels of the Planeswalkers program and started messing with it. It lets you create your own deck using very old cards from 4th Edition, Astral, Antiquities, Arabian nights, Legends, and The Dark. It also for some reason allows you to build decks with multiple copies of the same spell. (More than 4) I knew I could have fun with this so I built this deck consisting of 24 Black Lotus, 32 Ancestral Recall, and 4 Disintegrate. Watch how I win on turn 1.

I am aware that there is a game coming out with called Magic The Gathering (Duels of the Planeswalkers) next year but this game was a real game made back in 1995. It just happens to have the same title.

This is the ORIGINAL 90s game. It still kicks the ass of the DOTP thats out today for the simple reason you can make your OWN CUSTOM DECK. The new one doesnt even let you do that shit.

been trying for days to get this to work over hamachi using manalink... supposedly it works for multiplayer but always an error, maybe windows 7.... maybe its just not a working multiplayer version i am using.... their forums are like *crickets chirping* and from what i've read WOTC sue'd the shit out everyone.

I still have this game! The Adventure/RPG mode is the best, I'd really like to see a reitteration of that.

I've been playing this the last few weeks. It's a really good game!! Then I decided maybe I should buy the deck I made in-game, and found that the land alone was $60 a piece xD But yea, I don't think Ill play the PS3 version since you can't customize your deck, and I'm not paying for digital cards on MTG online - thats just silly. There is a magic game available for hacked PSP's that Ill get on my PSP Go in the next few weeks called "Wagic" that lets you earn cards and build custom decks :D
