We had a Delta "coach" who choreographed the majority of this so that's where the similarities came from. She actually won money for being our coach. No disrespect was intended I promise!

I don't care what race you are, if you want to do a dance or ANYTHING that is originates in a particular culture (I don't care if it's riverdance or stepping) - then at the VERY LEAST, you need to 1) be respectful to the tradition and 2) UNDERSTAND THE HISTORY!

@MystAKAlKonceit an AKA Helped them with the step, by helping the PC the AKA chapter received money for a charity of their choice. They weren't biting the steps, they were just taught them. Sorry if it comes across offensive, they just didn't know.

So Im just seeing this video and I am an AKA myself, and I was not offended, but very proud of these ladies. It was very cute, classy and sassy! Kuddos to them and to the Sorors that helped them pull it off :)

You should not be explaining this to anyone. The AKAs don't own any steps. Get over yourselves. BUT, out of respect for the Divine Nine, learn the history. My Seventh graders did something similar to the steps here and I KNOW they did not steal them from anyone.

Yes very offensive =( We wrk 2maintain tradition, steps & poses tht rep the Ladies of AKA as a whole & 2c individuals who r 1Not AKAs 2Not D9 Greek (we make fun of e/o) 3Has a lack of undrstndin of my org & steppin, go on & try 2replicate is very dstrbing... especially since their ivies were flying (AKA will know) is a disgrace! the Soror who taught them should b shamed b/c she knows better....she kould have taught steppin w/o AKA sig moves...I knw everyone wants 2b the best...but we all kant b!

That is definitely AKA. I am not an AKA but I concur with the feelings of all offended AKA's right now. Why not develop something original - so not impressed. Get your own DANG!

As a Lovely Lady of ALPHA KAPPA ALPHA SORORITY INC. I dont appreciate the biting of our steps here as well as our universal symbol of throwing up a mirror....for every "K" across the states I say.....get yo ass out my mirror!
