Dante - Gigapede (M4)

Preferred style: Any 1. Gigapede really only has 2 forms of attacks purple orbs that come after you in pairs, and a tall horizontal or vertical blue beam that'll hit you only if you are on ground level. 2. You start the battle on a ledge facing Gigapede right below you, so jump right on it and start slashing it as much as you can. 3. Shooting is good only when you can't reach him at all, but it damages very little, so be patient and persistent. 4. One safe and fast-enough way to kill this dude is to get on top of him, preferably right on its head. Then, slash like mad. Sometimes, he'll flip around so that you fall off him, but keep slashing and shooting anyway. Another way would be to use a full Release with Royalguard (with all 3 circles to the left of the life bar filled). Fill it up by guarding enemy attacks before this battle, or even the hand from cursed doors. Release normally at it and it should already take away a third of its life (normal mode). 5. Watch out for the purple orbs. They're avoidable but timing is important so keep rolling and/or double jumping away. Depending on where the orbs come from, hiding behind the walls/pillars may also work. It is also possible to deflect these orbs back at Gigapede using melee attacks (preferably multi-hit ones like Cerberus), inflicting good damage. 6. For players replaying this battle: If you have LV 3 Royalguard, use Ultimate to block the purple orbs (and gain some life back). Make sure you don't get sandwiched between the orbs and stand where they will come at you only from one direction. Also, if you have acquired Agni & Rudra, use them. They damage more and faster than Royalguard's Release. However, the official guide does say that Gigapede is weak against ice...
