@angrygunsmith this is stock... well, mostly. its actually a "2000" but they were introduced in late '99.

I was driving a tiptronic 2zz-ge celica today, and it was really slow, then the 6-speed runx corolla, which was much faster. I thought that was strange, maybe it was just it being an auto.
It was waaay slower though.

I agree with you, thats why I didn't buy the tiptronic, they are terrible! They have two less gears in a car that needs to rev out to 8000rpm with the top 2000 rpm giving valve lift... Think about. Test drive a celica with a 6 speed, they handle and brake MUCH better than the Corrola too;)
