That is absurd; the purpose of a Constitution is to restrain Government, not to empower it. And if you think Thomas Jefferson was a Federalist, than I will encourage you to do some research on your own and not just listen to what your public school teacher tells you. If you truly believe what you just wrote, you are doomed to be a government slave. Even John Adams warned against big Government, and he was a Federalist!

please forgive me, but I am not sure what your trying to say. The founders belief in powers of the general government was that it would be limited by the powers granted in article 1 section 8. All other powers not given in article 1 section 8 are reserved to states or the people. This was understood by the Federalists as well as the Radifying commitee's. The only strength the Federal Gov. has comes from the States collectively. And the process of law should be slow, that was the design.

How can one read the Declaration of Independence and not see the glaring similarities between then and now? I am not saying to tear down this govt. but to re-take control of our unalienable divine rights as PEOPLE of Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

This very is very sad and hard to watch.if u are american and can look at that undescribable flag and not be at a loss of words then something is serious wrong with u. A lot of people sit and talk on here about how patriotic they are but how many will be ready to see if they bleed stars and strips when the bullets start flying all the name of preserving liberty and trying to bring it back to the way the fathers created it

@BigChiefLtd1 the system itself is based on keeping us in debt. it is just paper shuffling. no matter how much a politician promises to spend or not to spend, or how much one politician promises to give loans or give ease on taxes the system is still the same and it will not change until we the people make the change.
