A curated exhibit by Sherry Moore
A comprehensive look back at the first nine months after Hurricane Katrina. The exhibit uses video, projection, landscape photography, and installation art, to examine the path Katrina took, beginning with Gulfport/Biloxi, Mississippi and ending with images from the Orleans Parish of New Orleans, Louisiana including the Lower Ninth Ward.
The exhibit can be easily adapted to numerous venues, i.e. Library's, City Halls, schools, churches, art gallery's, private residence's, and other structures.
Educational materials have been developed for students at all grade levels, which will engage them in meaningful discussions about geography, the environment, social and cultural interests.
Podcasting is in development to further enhance the exhibit.
As the title suggests additional materials are being developed the next "Tour" is - Part II: Katrina's People. This "Tour" will connect the viewer to the people, who were and are participating the recovery and rebuilding efforts, local residents, military personal, immigrant workers, and others.
Part III, will include materials acquired by returning to original locations ( in Part's I & II) to show how changes have affected the landscape and the people.

Nice exhibition. Now all you have to do to get the full affect is to be locked in it for 22 months.
