Every now and again, a melody (and its arrangement & execution) stays in one's mind the rest of their life. Bernard Herrmann's Main / End Titles for "The Twilight Zone" was one; Ray Bloch's title music to "Science Fiction Theatre" and Dominic Frontiere's for "The Outer Limits" were two others.

Ron Grainer's title music to "The Prisoner," unlike those mentioned above, is jazz-oriented - but stands alongside the others, owing no apologies whatsoever. Absolutely brilliant!
