Go underwater with a pod of wild spinner dolphins swimming over coral. Ruffles, whose dorsal fin has been scarred, takes us into the pod of 29 dolphins. Float and watch the dolphins leisurely circle you in the shallow water. See a baby nursing. Notice the remora, sucker fish catching a ride on the dolphins. Taken with an Olympus underwater digital camera.

  • Spinner dolphins are my second favorites after Bottlenose dolphins :)

  • @Tenshionnanoko128 I love bottlenose, they are so intense! Spinners come in much bigger families and with a lot more interaction with us, which is so wonderful

  • This was off maui right? I think I might have seen Ruffles when swimming with a pod a month ago. It could have been a different dolphin, but the one i saw had a perfect notch in his dorsal just like the one in your wonderful video :)

  • the video was taken in Keauhou bay area of the Big Island. I've seen him about 40 miles away along the coastline, be surprised if he migrated to Maui. his dorsal is wavy will several cuts in it. will keep an eye out for him here.

  • well i just swam with some spinner dolphins in Hawaii, so amazing...

  • Yay Im so excited about seeing these guys in person! I am about to be working for a whale watching company in Maui!

  • Sunt asa de draguti.

  • I love this video.

  • cool i love dolphins they r relaxing

  • This was exactly the experience I had diving off the south shore of Kauai in July 2009. It was the most awe inspiring, amazing, other worldly experience I have had diving, ever.

  • I don't think they migrate from island to island, its most likely a different dolphin since i actually saw the same dolphin a couple days ago while swimming with him and his pod again. :)
