about the second question. yes, absence of evidence IS evidence of absence. religion will come of with all these bullshit lines in order to cover up their tracks to come up with some stupid reason to explain the lack of evidence - like jesus not being in his tomb. you won't be able to find mary's body because oh well, she ascended body and all. then you'll have to excuse our skepticism and realize that is how they can say she existed without ever needing the evidence of her existence

After watching this video I've had an epiphany. Clearly the meaning of existence is to watch this video with Obama. Because then a mixture of bad logic, misuse of the transitive property, and good old fashioned bullshit would result in God's existence. Heck, it would at least be as convincing as the ontological argument.

Actually I did not understand which side you're an atheist or theist, but it does not matter because I just want to learn English, and you seem to speak the language well. If you want to leave some tips on grammar I thank you. I want to use to say that American Christianity is much frowned upon by the South Americans, I'm Brazilian and we see the U.S. as a country that needs reform in its Christian doctrine.

I wish my answers to these questions, if possible in Portuguese.

fantastic response. no-one knows the answers to all these key (and valid) questions. but some people, dare I say it people that are insecure, paranoid, scared or just generally troubled or gullible, like to hide behind blind faith. You are actually spot-on; we don't know why we are here or how the universe started. that is true if you are an atheist or if you believe in superstition.

Great answers. As for the "why we debate creationism or theists". Any cult which uses fear tactics to try and indoctrinate to build their cult needs to be debated. This is self explanatory. Great video, thanks for sharing.
