in addition to what I said, Rachel Maddow (although I was a fan before this video) is applying "liberal guilt". Shes acting like people with disabilities need parents and can't make decisions for themselves, which as a disabled person I find quite insulting. Lastly, in response to her talking about how she didn't want to watch disabled people "try to get dates" with "normal" people...THAT was disgusting. Rejection is rejection no matter who you are, and disability doesn't make it more pathetic.

I'm disabled, and I agree to some extent with all of them. Yes, I agree that reality TV is stupid. But if you really wanna say that you accept able bodied people for who they are, then think about this: disabled people have just as much right to make an ass out of themselves on live television as able bodied people do.

Notice how neither one of the people in this 'debate' is disabled... and for the record, having a blind uncle (or indeed any other family member or friend with a disability) does NOT give you 'first hand' experience.
That's like me saying 'My best friend is black (which he is) so I know what it's like to be racially discriminated against!' I don't, therefore I would never say such a stupid thing!

The public tries to hide us away in care homes. Malls would be a great place for people in wheelchairs to work being all on one level, so why aren't there any stores willing to hire us? A guy in Starbucks told metheir goal is to draw customers in, not drive them away. I had a girlfriend until her parents took me to court and I was told to stay away from her because I might have a seizure and injure her. They said what's best for society is more important that the pleasures of just one.

im a handsome brother with a spinal cord injury,i get chose every now and then,some guys with spinal cord injuries have alot of fine able bodied women,if you are a goodlooking guy in a wheel chair and you dress nice,you got a real chance to get a woman,people in wheel chairs need to stop wearing jogging suits and gym shoes seven days a week,wear regular clothes,stop lookng retarded,when a woman ask me can i still have sex,i tell them i take viagra or cialis,
