How to Sew a Poppet

Here a quick instructional video on How I sew a Poppet.

A poppet is basically two pieces of cloth cut in the general shape of a human being which are sewn together and stuffed with stuffing, herbs, personal concerns, gems, etc... that relate to how you intend to use the doll (love, money, curseing, etc...). The color of cloth used often, but not always, corresponds to your magickal goal (i.e. how you intend to use the doll.)

Once made the doll is ritually named after the individual concern and spells are enacted upon the doll which mimic what you wish to happen to the individual.

A classic love spell entails making a doll to represent the two people concerned and stuffing it with love herbs, charms, gems, etc.. The dolls are ritually named after the two parties. When the moon is new or waxing they are ritually bound fact together with red ribbon, twine, or string and then kept in a safe, secure place as the spell plays itself out.
