This short video is intended to show the demise of a healthy athletic dog due to Myasthenia Gravis and Megaesophagus. The condition was improved by the use of a Bailey Chair to facilitate vertical feeding. Improvement was significant enough to allow Roxie to return to the agility competition ring, visit with seniors, and continue her listening role for childrens reading programs at school.
Took $1207 worth of tests and B.S. to find out from the vet today that my dog has megaesophagus. He came home from the vet much sicker than he was when he went in... plus I think he has MG as an underlying cause and they just completely neglected to test for it. this is very scary, he looks so sick today it is hard to imagine him ever coming back

The Baily chair feeding method- upright eating like that of a human being is better than the other feeding methods provided in the video. It is easier for the dog to swallow the food. I don't like the elevated bowl method.... it looks extremely uncomfortable to the dog. I really hope you will continue to provide us with more information about congetical megaesophagus. Thank you!

After Rambo ( Frenchy) eats I place him in my lap in a sit position and wait about 15-20 for his food to go down

I'm so thrilled for Roxie, am having serious trouble with Rua, but will have to keep persevering. Good luck to you all.
