@lucrese1 No problem - thank you. I hope you enjoy Tango as much as I have the last 24 years. I go through periods when I listen to Tango constantly, followed by months where I don't listen to it at all. Tango is (IMO) better than Mirage, less "congested" than Tusk (LB's songs are a bore, except for title track & a couple others). Hidden Tango gems: Christine's Mystified; Stevie's When I See You Again; LB's Tango In The Night.
@achaserofrocks I wondered why it was selected. We now know that Stevie had DOZENS of other songs - many far superior to Welcome to the Room, Sara. In fact, Lindsey selected some of these for later FM records (Smile at You, Running Through the Garden, Goodbye Baby all made Say You Will and were great!). There were also Trouble in Shagri-La tracks available (Candlebright, Planets of the Universe). WTTRS rounded out a generally weak overall contribution by Nicks to Tango. She would rise again!
@lucrese1 I would recommend Tango. It faults are 1) Stevie's weakest contribution to FM to date; 2) Stevie's vocals are basically limited to 5 songs, 3 of which are her's; 3) a "fractured" sound of 3 seperate writers. Tango does have strengths, which IMO, outweigh its faults - 1) Christine delivers some of her greatest tracks (I like the non-single tracks best); Lindsey's songs are more mainstream & have incredible guitar work; 3) Seven Wonders - Stevie's standout track & one of her best for FM.
@redletter2008 I agree! I think "behind the mask" is a great album! In fact, I begun to listen to FM when I bought this album, I was 16 and never heard of LB or Stevie or Christine...I just like the songs, the melodies, I couldn't stop listening to it! thier best records are (for me) "rumours" and "say you will"+the peter green FM-records of course! Now I've got all their albums exept "tango in the night",I like it but don't love it!
Another one of my fave FWM/Stevie Nicks songs. I used to love "this is a dream right?" part!! hehe

A recycled version of "Blue Lamp," which is far superior.
