Beware of the GIVE Act!

On March 18, 2009, the House of Representatives approved "The Generations Invigorating Volunteerism and Education Act," or the "GIVE Act." Why should America be concerned? What is this Act all about? Is it a move towards socialism, as some claim? Is it part of a frightening agenda of the Obama Administration to indoctrinate our young people and compel them to perform mandatory national service, as others fear?

I love the speculation. Wow, they explored whether it would be mandatory? I explored recreational drugs in college. Do we equate volunteerism with being punished? We give mandatory community service to lawbreakers. I am on the alert for people that consider service to other Americans unpatriotic, socialist, and dangerous. Goodness, we could lose our identities. Don't forget we have a constitution and we elect our representatives. Take a chill pill and enjoy the recession.

Thank you for taking your time to warn and inform about President Obama's GIVE Act. It seems this blessed nation is heading towards socialism. America is putting love of country first instead of love of God!! Mandatory volunteerism is not going to work. It will force people who are religiously conscientious to go to war, work on the Sabbath and so on... This is part of the many "Beginnings of Sorrows". God speed His Government!!
