this is a spiritual performance..we get too caught up sometimes in portamento and vibrato and its just a bunch of he said she said stuff but sometimes we should just listen and let our imagination go you only live once dude

Pierre Fournier is the bomb. Yo yo ma, eh, I feel like I play the cello and he plays the cello too. But good old Pierre ! it's like he plays a completely different instrument. it's like i wouldn't even know how to begin sounding like him

One of my favorites of all time anywhere! Really shows Herr Brahms' sensitivity and genius.
