We built this Hexbug Nano habitat with foam core board and hot glue. It combines a maze and obstacle course to keep the Hexbugs busy.

  • They are usually about $8.

  • Thank you very much for your kind words! You are welcome to use our ideas. We want to give some credit for the rotating gates to pufferbelliestoys. We saw their youtube video that has a carousel for hexbugs and we were inspired by it. Advice: The paths should be a little bit wider than two nanos and the walls as tall as the bug or taller. Avoid sharp corners, because the bugs get stuck. By cutting through just one side of the foamcore you can bend it. Test your ideas before gluing. Have fun!
