Dude, the whole scene/emo thing is just a phase that will die out. It's not even metal. And you won't listen to a band because they "pissed on emo kids" ?? Really? You're trying too hard man. I talked with Matt from Witchclan and he agrees, at least there is still hope for metal.

Dude, I seriously dislike that music of them as well..I listened to some songs and for some reason that band thinks they're bad ass and are in the position to piss on others, while other bands just blow them away totally. And it's fine if Matt agrees with you...I don't always have to agree with everybody do I?

@Infidelamsterdam this video was to be honest an eye opener for myself. i never thought of it that way and now it makes sense. i wear carnifex shirt and i listen to cannibal corpse and frank zappa. so this video of yours was a massive eye opener for how i judge other metal fans. But i want you're honest opinion on metal fans that do not give recognition to older bands (cannibal corpse, slayer, maiden, sabbath, etc)?

For me people don't have to give recognition to any band if that's the result of their ignorance. Trying to change people's minds is a waste of time and only leads to bigger crap. Let people be dumb...you know what those bands did for the music and what you know is more important then what someone else says.

Music is music why cant we just get along eberone has theur own talents and iterests i hate being told i cant listen to gorgoroth or swallow the sun because im wearing a blink 182 or pierce the veil shirt i listen EERYTHING i dont pay attention to genre or anything im a fan of A LOT of metal and im also a fan of hardcore music but i always get labeled emo or scene....

if someone else has an issue with respecting others "who are not of them" here is the simple solution: see no evil, speak no evil, hear no evil. if all that person is going to give you is crap bid them a good day and move on to your life. them not liking you is not going to end your life or the world. so let them have their opinion, listen to it, acknowledge it, and move on with your life. many of your problems will be solved by doing that.
