Caterham has lost the race in this clip, and there is no need for any justification .. Normally, it is crafted golf engine, which still made for a race car has a stock engine? As much as a Caterham driver fights, again can not do anything .. View Golf is clear that the distances golf course where you have to develop a higher speed than in the corners ..

that Golf has some tuned up engine but i noticed when the Golf accelerated smoke came out from exhaust, so i think it has some modern TDI engine, because diesels of 80's and early 90's doesn't move as fast as that Golf.

know get it right the caterham is built for handling so as i have been saying children it;s the man and the machine that make the team just as in any other sport like baseball ,basketball football, hockey etc, one man don't make a team just as if you have a well tuned automobile if you have know one to drive it or can handle it then give it to a pre schooler cause that's all you have is a car an excuse! me what else !

lol.. hilarious seeing this again. a few facts for anyone interested:
1. thats me driving, & yes very badly - 8 years ago, my 2nd ever trackday in the caterham
2. best lap from that day was 55.9. I chatted to Maurice who owned the 'golf', nice guy. He used to run 55 dead in that car for BHI
3. the 'golf' is nothing to do with a Golf. It had no interior, a blown audi engine with in excess of 300bhp, sequential shift and full Avon slicks. Weight was ~800kg so not much more than a caterham.

That golf is fast, and anyone watching this video should clearly see that the caterham driver is a novice.
