The reason for that was the burning tyre. If he stoppes the whole truck will burn because the heat from the tyre will go upwards and there is no air cooling. If he drives on, the tyre will burn and fall off, after that he stoppes. A few broken rims is cheaper than burned truck and load. :)

Neither stupid or insane. Most highway side strips ain't really suited for changing your tyres, so 2 out of 3 options are pulling the truck to the next possible exit, or risking being hit by another vehicle and yourself distributed all over the place. Wouldn't be the first time that happened, nor will there ever be a last. Blame him for thinking his life's worth more than a trailer :)

@rolloverriderpgr Which port is he doing his MUST BE THERE or ELSE delivery? I guess the owners of that load have a great late fee fine for not making the loading time..Maybe broken legs, Broken nose? Dead?

Not insane STUPID! That's costing him every foot he keeps pulling the thing! he can't be that freaking broke that he can't pay a service call for 1 tire, chaining the other 2 axles up to get to a shop. Is it that hard to get to a service shop in Europe?
