Rat Patrol From Fort Bragg version

"Paper Planes" is an alternative hip hop dance song written and produced by M.I.A., Diplo, and Switch for M.I.A.'s second studio album, Kala (2007). Its backing track is a sample from the 1982 song "Straight to Hell" by The Clash,[1] while the chorus is based on that of the 1992 Wreckx-n-Effect song "Rump Shaker".[2]

If you can play on the fiddle
How's about a British jig and reel?
Speaking King's English in quotation
As railhead towns feel the steel mills rust water froze
In the generation
Clear as winter ice
This is your paradise

There ain't no need for ya
There ain't no need for ya
Go straight to Hell boy
Go straight to Hell boy

Y'wanna join in a chorus
Of the Amerasian blues?
When it's Christmas out in Ho Chi Minh City
Kiddie say papa papa papa papa papa-san take me home
See me got photo photo
Photograph of you and Mamma Mamma Mamma-san
Of you and Mamma Mamma Mamma-san
Lemme tell ya 'bout your blood bamboo kid.
It ain't Coca-Cola it's rice.

Straight to Hell, boy
Go straight to Hell, boy
Go straight to Hell, boy
Go straight to Hell, boy
Oh Papa-san
Please take me home
Oh Papa-san
Everybody they wanna go home
So Mamma-san said

You wanna play mind-crazed banjo
On the druggy-drag ragtime U.S.A.?
In Parkland International
Hey! Junkiedom U.S.A.
Where procaine proves the purest rock man groove
and rat poison
The volatile Molotov says-

PSSST...
HEY CHICO WE GOT A MESSAGE FOR YA... SI...
VAMOS VAMOS MUCHACHO
From Alphabet City All The Way A To Z, Dead, Head

Go straight to Hell, boy
Go straight to Hell, boy
Straight to Hell

Oh Papa-San
Please take me home
There ain't no need for ya,
There ain't no need for ya

Go straight to Hell, boy
Go straight to Hell, boy

Can you cough it up loud and strong
The immigrants
They wanna sing all night long
It could be anywhere
Most likely could be any frontier
Any hemisphere
No man's land
Ain't no asylum here
King Solomon he never lived round here

Straight to Hell, boy
Go straight to Hell, boy
Go straight to Hell, boy
Go straight to Hell, boy

Oh Papa-San
Please take me home
Oh Papa-San
Everybody, they wanna go home now

  • Be someone for the great Red Boy. Thrash the knowers of vacuity, if only to take the seat of your supposed superiors and mock their entire existence. And when your arms are made immobile, your form wholly inert, when all capacity of spirit has abandoned you; you will know what it means to serve.

It could be anywhere. Any hemisphere. haha

  • the fuck is this shit

  • @CorpsBillard

You're a bit ignorant yeah? France has a longer history of doing terrible things -- you just happen to have grown up in the era of US oppression. I disagree with what the USA does, but saying "France = Paradis (sic)" is simply ludicrous. In fact, this song is partly about Vietnam/US involvement, which only happened after the French raped the very same country for many many years. Don't forget about Algeria and countless other French atrocities...

  • such a special recording.......

  • @tedGEGI I do agree, but you have to give credit to MIA for sampling a very cool track.
