I remember a race some 6, 7 or 8 years ago, there were about 15 cars on the track. All of them bright red, shaped like 'true' sports cars (Ferraris) and among them, something resembling a black family car which they couldn't get past. It was a Maserati Shamal as in 3:48. That was a strange sight, mind you.
Thank you for this vid, and in a sense you've got it right, they're all biturbos (twin turbo) even if some would say the last Ghibli generally marks the end of the true Biturbos.
@duckboyd Agree. That particular Biturbo is rather easy to maintain. 2 cams, carb, not too much electronics to cause any real trouble. I know, the exterior aint what you'd expect if you only know the Maserati's from the past: 3500GT, Indy, the series 1 Ghibli etc. I don't care much for looking back in anger, they were developed to meet a new day and age, after the 70's petrol crisis and they're boxy... But they're so innocent looking in the early years and I love them.

lets boost the Maserati a little more - my 430 18v is now powered with a Quattroporte 2,8L 24v engine :-) runs very nice 300bhp-
